VSP Direct Shopping Cart Integration: EKM Powershop

Please follow the below instructions to set up EKM Powershop with your Protx account. You will need the following details to ensure the cart is set up correctly.

* Your 'VSP Vendor name', supplied by Protx.

To add Protx as a Payment Method on EKM Powershop

To setup your protx account with ekmpowershop please use the following instructions, also using the screenshots provided below as a guide:
  1. Log into your account at http://www.ekmpowershop.com/ and go into 'Settings > Payment Processing'. You will be shown a list of all the current method of payment your online shop accepts.

  1. Click the "Add Payment Method" button and select Protx Direct from the list.

  1. You will be shown a brief description about this gateway, if this is okay click the "Add Protx as an Accepted Payment Method".


  2. You can now choose to configure the gateway, if you dont want to do this yet you can leave it for another time. If you choose to configure it you will be greeted with the following:

  1. On this page simply enter in your 'VSP Vendor Name'.


  2. Select either Debug Mode or Live Mode
    (Warning: Do not leave this enabled when your site is live, as important details like usernames will become visible to the end-user).


  3. Ensure you selected the correct 'Type of Account' (either Test Mode, Live Mode or Simulator Mode, again ask Protx for this information).


  4. Finally, select the 'Transaction Type' (either Payment, Deferred, or Authenticate. "Payment" are settled immediately, "Deferred" are settled once released by the Vendor. "Authenticate" are not charged to the card, the card and amount are simply validated.)


  5. Once the information has been entered simply click 'update'.


  6. Now you will need to log in to your VSP Direct Account at Protx. You will need to enter the IP address of our server there, which is 85.159.56.120. In the case of any connection problems we would switch the IP address to our backup which is 85.91.241.120, so please enter both in your Protx account.


  7. Your online shop is now setup to have transactions processed by Protx.
