How it works

Customer's details are taken on the buy.htm page in your shop and then passed over to the Protx secure server. The customer then enters their credit card details before the transaction is completed.

What you need to do

1. Download the Protx integration script if you don't already have it. You can download it HERE. If you do already have it then go to step 3.


2. Un-zip the integration script and copy it into the cgisetups folder which you will find in the installation directory of JShop Professional.


3. Open JShop Professional and load your store.


4. Click on the CGI button at the top, then click on Load CGI Setup on the screen that comes up.


5. For testing purposes leave the Vendor and EncryptionPassword settings as they are but change the following fields accordingly:-
   
   Description - This is a short description that will appear on the Protx checkout page.
   SuccessURL - This is a URL on your own site that will be used when a customer successfully pays.
   FailureURL - This is a URL on your own site that will be used if a customer's payment fails.
   VendorEmail - This is the email address you would like order emails to come to.
   eMailMessage - Up to 250 characters that will be included on the email that goes to the customer.
   


6. Close the CGI options.


7. Once you have finished your store you will need to send your finished buy page to support@jshop.co.uk as in order for your page to work correctly with Protx we need to add in some JavaScript on the buy page. We hope to include this as standard in a future upgrade to JShop Professional but this process doesn't take us long.

Other Information

In your Purchase options you need to make sure that the following fields are named as follows.

Customer name - CustomerName
Customer e-mail - CustomerEmail
