To use Protx with 1shoppingcart or Totalbusinesscart you must login to your account and go to Setup -> Gateway  Setup:

Then chose Protx as your Payment Gateway from the dropdown list:

Enter the types of payment cards that are compatible with your Protx account:

Enter your Protx Test Vendor Name in the Unique Gateway ID box, as you are in the test stage you must enter: (test)vendorname:

Click on Save Changes and you have successfully set up your Totalbusinesscart account to work with the Protx test server:

Go to your website and make a purchase using test card numbers from Protx.

Click on the link below for the test card numbers:

Make a transaction using the details found on the above link.

Login to the test account using the details you set up in the admin account.

Check that the test transaction appears on the transaction page.

Finally in order to complete the testing stage refund the transaction by clicking the Refund button on the transactions page.

Once your account goes live, repeat the above process and remove the (test) so that all that appears in the Unique Gateway ID box is your Vendor Name:

Click on Save changes and you have successfully set up your 1Shoppingcart or Totalbusinesscart account to work with Protx:

Additional Information

Once this is done remember to add the IP addresses listed below to your Protx account. These will have to be entered as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. Zeros must be added to the IP addresses so they can be set up in your Protx account in the correct format.

You can input these during the account setup process or from the Admin account->Administration->Account Parameters->Valid IP Addresses for this Account

Here is an example of how an IP Address of 1shoppingcart’s or Totalbusinesscart’s payment processing servers would be entered in your Protx Account:

IP address from 1shoppingcart / Totalbusinesscart: 69.10.237.110
IP Address from 1shoppingcart / Totalbusinesscart entered in your Protx Account: 069.010.237.110

The Subnet Mask will always be 255.255.255.255, you do not need to input it with every IP address as this is the default value and it will be entered automatically.
